While the Text Block allows you to add external links during text editing, the Content Rows on Landing pages do not. You will need to add these external links to your Links folder and apply them during editing (just like uploading documents and placing them in your pages by finding them in the 'Docs' folder while editing).

1.) Select the 'Add Content' plus sign in the top left corner of your Cascade window.

2.) Select 'Add an External Link'. If you do not see this option, please submit a web ticket to have your permissions updated so you can use this function

3.) Copy and paste your external link URL into the space labeled 'Link'. Please keep in mind, any page that exists outside of your website in the CMS is considered external. Even if it is another UMKC website (Cascade or Wordpress) it will still be considered external if you are unable to navigate to it within your site's folders in Cascade.

4.) Add a brief name to the link that will be easy for you to identify as you add your link to pages. Keep in mind this will be visible in the URL, so it should be relevant to the link itself.

Cascade will auto-format the title you create for you. Select the blue 'use the suggested name?' text and your title will be formatted to be URL-friendly.

At this stage, you will preview your draft and submit the new link.

5.) To apply your new link, open a content row that allows links but doesn't have a Text Block. The Icon Row is a good example of this. Select the text that says 'Choose File, Page, or Link'.

6.) In the right-hand flyout menu, 'Browse' your site and use the breadcrumbs to navigate to the top of your site so you can see all of your site folders. Select the 'Links' folder.

7.) Find the link you created, select, and select 'Choose' to apply it to your Content Row.
