You can add a header photo to any webpage in Cascade. If your page does not require a photo, it is not mandatory to add.

The header photo needs to have the subject in the center of the image, as some displays and browsers can change the dimensions of the page. The header photo is static, and is not a place to share announcements or graphics. Your page's header photo should be relevant to the page and give your site visitor context for the page below.

Example of a header photo

Adding a Header Photo*

1.) Create a new page or navigate to the page you wish to edit. In the editing window, navigate to the 'Top Header' drop-down and select to open. Toggle the 'Include Header Image?' option from 'no' to 'yes. The 'Header Image' field will appear. Select the 'Choose File' button.

2.) Use the right hand fly out menu to navigate to your previously uploaded image in your site's 'Images' folder.

Once you have found the file you wish to use, select and then select the 'Choose' button to place it on your page.

3.) You will then make sure that the next two options are toggled to 'Yes'. The 'Header Title' means that your page title will appear over the Header Image. The 'Teaser run full width' means that if you choose to add teaser text, it will run the full width of your header image on the page.

4.) Continue editing your page, or follow the steps to preview your draft, submit, and publish.

*Please note, at this point you should have already uploaded the image you would like to use to your site's 'Images' folder. For help with that process, please view the 'Uploading Images' article.
