Profiles are meant as a quick introduction to your team for potential and current students, their families and alumni and friends. They should be written in friendly and concise language that reflects UMKC values.


Create a Qualtrics or Google form with these fields and send that link in an email requesting information for their profiles to your team. You should survey your team and update their profiles at the beginning of each academic year.


These items coincide with the fields on the profile page. Required items are marked with an asterisk.

  2. *Surname or family name (Used to list your profile alphabetically in the directory.)
  3. Résumé or CV (PDF preferred)
  4. Position title (as it relates to your AU, department, division or office)
  5. Additional titles
  6. AUs, departments, divisions or offices (Your profile will appear in the directory for each item listed.)
  7. Pronouns (E.g., she/her, he/him, they/them)      
  8. Phone (XXX-XXX-XXXX)   
  9. Email (all lowercase)
  10. Office location (room number and building)
  11. Biography (Short introduction and a few sentences on topics such as what inspired you to enter your field, what research topics interest you, what brought you to UMKC or your personal interests. Do not cut and paste your CV or go in-depth about teaching, research or other professional topics.  
  12. Links (Research, teaching or professional websites. Please include URL and name of each website.)       
  13. Additional info list (degrees, areas of expertise, work experience, publications, awards)
