DubBot Frequently Asked Questions

Why is DubBot still reporting an issue that I already fixed?

DubBot scans websites on a scheduled basis. After correcting and publishing an issue, it may continue to appear until your website has been crawled again.

How often does DubBot scan my website?

Scan frequency varies depending on your website’s configuration. Most websites are scanned automatically on a recurring schedule.

Can I request a new scan?

If you need DubBot to verify a large number of corrections before the next scheduled crawl, contact Web Services to determine whether a new scan can be requested.

Why are hundreds of pages reporting the same issue?

Many websites use shared navigation, footers, reusable components, or templates. A single issue within shared content can affect dozens or even hundreds of pages.

Review the affected pages to determine whether the issue originates from shared content before correcting individual pages.

Why can’t I edit the reported issue?

Some accessibility issues originate from website templates, navigation, shared components, or custom applications.

If the issue cannot be edited through your CMS, submit a Web Services support ticket.

Does DubBot automatically fix issues?

No. DubBot identifies potential issues but does not modify your website. All corrections must be made by a content editor or Web Services.

Does DubBot replace Sa11y?

No.

Sa11y helps identify accessibility issues while editing a page in Cascade CMS.

DubBot reviews published websites and reports accessibility, broken links, and other website quality issues across your entire site.

Using both tools provides the best results.

My DubBot score decreased. What happened?

Scores change as new issues are introduced or existing issues are corrected.

Review your latest scan results to identify any new issues that may have affected your score.

Do I need a score of 100?

A score of 100 is the goal whenever practical. However, some issues may require template updates or custom development by Web Services.

Focus on correcting issues that you can resolve through your CMS and contact Web Services when necessary.

Where can I get additional help?

If you have questions about a reported issue or are unsure how to correct it, contact Web Services or review the related DubBot and Accessibility articles in this Knowledge Base.
